

Austin Thompson, P.E.
staff structural engineer
Austin has performed structural design for structural and geotechnical related projects. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering. Austin has conducted multiple forensic structural investigations as well as monitored structural remedial measure implementation and reconstruction. He has experience in the design of concrete, wood, masonry and steel framed structures, including commercial and residential projects. Austin's has been with GSE since September of 2016 and his duties at GSE include project management, structural design, geotechnical field inspection, and summary report generation.

Terry Timberlake
Senior inspector
Terry has been involved in commercial and residential construction for 40+ years and has a very broad based knowledge of the construction industry. He has been involved in commercial and residential construction serving in a wide variety of roles including laborer, project manager, and superintendent. More recently, he has been involved in providing contractor oversight and inspection related services. Terry has served as the primary threshold inspector for large GSE projects such as the Reitz Union and Heavener Hall at the University of Florida.

Cassandra (Cassie) lindeman, E.I.
Staff Geotechnical Engineer
Cassie is a registered Engineer Intern in the State of Ohio with 1+ years experience in Geotechnical Engineering. She works as a field engineer monitoring geotechnical operations. Mrs. Lindeman has also preformed project management duties for geotechnical evaluations, design for structures and stormwater management facilities. Cassie specializes in construction materials testing, subsurface improvement, sinkhole remediation, shallow foundation design, foundation bearing capacity analyses, settlement analyses and stormwater management.

everett (rett) skipper, e.i.
Staff/field engineer
Rett graduated from The University of Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering in 2016 and has since worked for GSE. Rett has managed geotechnical site explorations, settlement analyses, soil classifications, and foundation stabilization design. In addition, he has held positions where he has assisted in QA/QC, threshold, construction, architectural, and interior inspections of new/renovated commercial and residential structures.

Kevin P. Fisher, e.i.
staff Geotechnical engineer
Mr. Fisher has been involved in Geotechnical Engineering for the past year. His experience includes various roadway and structural projects. Additionally, Kevin has experience in evaluation and selection of foundation alternatives for single and multi-story buildings. He has worked with multiple foundation systems including auger cast piles, driven piles, mat, and shallow foundations. He is also experienced in stormwater management design and sinkhole remediation. Kevin has a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida, 2019.

Angelina liu e.i.
Staff GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER
Angelina is a Grad Student, studying Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Florida. She is assisting the Geotechnical department with field work, including boring location inspection, boring marking, soil classification and reports. Angelina received her Bachelor's Degree with the highest honor from UF in May of 2019.

David Halle, E.I.
Staff Structural Engineer
David is a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where he studied civil engineering with a focus on structural analysis and design. Since graduating with his bachelor’s degree in the fall of 2021, he has been working as a staff structural engineer at GSE Engineering & Consulting, Inc. David currently works under the guidance of the senior structural engineers at GSE to design and analyze various new and existing structures. He also performs threshold inspections under the guidance of a licensed Threshold Inspector in the state of Florida.

kAREN ROYOLS
Environmental Scientist
Ms. Roylos has a broad-based knowledge of the environmental industry having been involved in environmental, geotechnical and geophysical related work for over 15 years. Her primary professional focus has been in the geotechnical, geophysical and environmental consulting areas of practice. Ms. Roylos has been involved with environmental and geotechnical/geophysical evaluations for private, institutional, and governmental clients. Projects have included site assessments, sinkhole and subsidence evaluations and remediations, subsurface soil densification, soil testing and assessments, and utility/UST locates. She was the primary laboratory technician for a soils and materials testing lab for approximately 6 years, and was also responsible for sample storage and client sample retention notifications. Ms. Roylos has also assisted geotechnical and structural engineering with floor elevation surveys, foundation test pits and forensic engineering report preparations. She also has additional experience working in an environmental pedology laboratory conducting research.

Collin Goodwin, e.i.
Staff environmental Engineer
Collin is a registered Engineer Intern and a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where he studied environmental engineering with a focus on hydrology, solid waste management, and organic chemistry. Since graduating with his bachelor’s degree in the fall of 2021, he has been working as a staff environmental engineer at GSE Engineering & Consulting, Inc. Collin’s experience includes site assessments, soil and water sampling and analysis, hazardous materials management, hydraulic modeling, and regulatory compliance review. He has performed project management duties for Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, NEPA Environmental Assessments, and Solid Waste Management Plan development, and has assisted in the preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans. Collin also has additional experience working in water & wastewater utility systems

lily khatibi
staff engineer
Ms. Khatibi has a very diverse experience ranging from natural resources to environmental engineering. She has worked in multiple National Parks around the United States serving as a botany technician. Ms. Khatibi has worked on projects involving ecosystem restoration and invasive plant management. She has applied her acquired skills to serve as an environmental engineer providing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to clients around the state of Florida. Lily joined GSE in 2022 after earning her bachelor's degree in 2021 at the University of Florida Engineering Program.
